[power of nature!]

Hello my most neglected blog. Life is just too busy to blog, it seems.
Lately I have been studying about essential oils and their power to heal. Nature is so powerful! I have had some amazing results with Young Living essential oils already.
If any of you are interested in these oils, just leave me a message. I can sign you up. The starter kit is such a good value and the oils in the kit help variety of health problems.

If you end up signing up by yourself, will you please use my member ID# as I helped you discover these oils. My member ID# is 10963340.

This book is great. It explains the history of essential oils, explains why Young Living oils are such superb therapeutic quality, explains how to use the oils, lists the various oils and their uses, and has an index about which oil to use for which ailment.

Here are some of my Facebook posts about these oils:

I have a new passion and sorry but I will be posting much about it from now on. The power of nature!! I have been learning about pure essential oils and their power to heal. I have been studying for hours and can't learn fast enough it seems. I have dealt with many health problems and as I was pondering about what has helped me the most in the past, I realized that I have received the most help from natural resources. Certain vitamins, herbs... So often I haven't been able to take prescription drugs as the side effects have been horrendous. Too long to explain here but now I know why I got those side effects and why natural things don't give me the same bad effects. My mind is literally being blown by all the things I'm learning (well, maybe not literally. :)) Essential oils are 100 to 10,000 times more concentrated than just plain herbs! I have already experienced their power in this short period of time I have used them. Can I just tell you about one of the oils I have learned so far - Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia). It's kind of funny I chose lavender as the first one to tell about because as a child, I had a severe allergic reaction to lavender soap and have hated the smell of "lavender" since. Turns out it was the chemical version of lavender I had the reaction for. I actually love the smell of pure lavender. What is amazing too is that I have a really bad general perfume allergy. I have had to use unscented everything forever now. Yet, I haven't had a single allergic reaction to these essential oils and have been so happy for being able to have lovely scents around me again.  Anyways, about lavender: It takes 27 square feet of lavender plants (certain kind) to make one 15ml bottle of lavender oil. A lot of the lavender oil sold is not "pure lavender" and the not pure ones can actually hurt you instead of heal you. The Young Living oils I use are Canada Health approved and are rigorously tested for purity. Lavender is antiseptic, antifungal, analgesic, antitumoral, anticonvulsant, vasodilating, relaxant, anti-inflammatory, reduces blood fat/cholestrol, combats excess sebum in skin. It's used for respiratory infections, high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, PMS, skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, acne...), burns, hair loss, insomnia, nervous tension, improves concentration and mental acuity, increases beta waves in the brain = relaxes, reduces depression and improves cognitive behavior, reduces mental stress. Anyways, sorry to have talked your ear off. Like I said, this is a new passion of mine. I have never been able to not share when I find something amazing. Much more to come. :D Did I mention I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my essential oils! <3

Happy Friday everyone! Here's more Young Living essential oil info for ya since you've all been dying to learn more. :) I chose PanAway as it's a great "weekend oil" as it can melt those weekday stresses away. You add it to a massage oil (I used 1/4 castor oil, 3/4 sweet almond oil and then added PanAway to it, it needs to be diluted in 1:4 ratio) and rub your sore muscles with it... When I massaged my sore muscles with PanAway I could feel the healing influence it had on my body. My muscles felt warm and the muscle tension was eased...:) I absolutely love this oil blend!
PanAway is a blend of Wintergreen, Helichrysum, Clove and Peppermint. It reduces pain and inflammation, increases circulation, and accelerates healing. It relieves swelling and discomfort from arthritis, sprains, muscle spasms, cramps, bumps, and bruises. It's an excellent oil to massage your muscles with after exercising. If your pain is more bone related, add more Wintergreen to the blend. Highly recommended by yours truly.
Make your spouse's day by giving him or her the best shoulder/neck rub ever. I guarantee you they will love your for it.
Caution: I have chosen to use Young Living oils as I trust their purity. I can't guarantee these same therapeutic effects if you use some other oils.
ps. I purchased a tinted glass bottle with a pump and made my massage oil into that for easy use.
ps. You can also read about the benefits of castor oil. An amazing oil!

More health related stuff.
As I have been studying about therapeutic essential oils, I read about how cleansing our bodies should be one of the first things we do. I purchased a book called "Inner Transformations Using Essential Oils" by Dr. LeAnne Deradeuff. This book explains why cleansing is so important and how to do it properly. I just wanted to share a bit about what I read about WHEAT as I've pondered in the past about why so many people seem to be wheat intolerant and must eat gluten free only. As a Latter-Day Saint, I believe in what we in the Church call "The Word of Wisdom". It is a health law given to us and part of that law specifically says that wheat is especially good for humans. So I have been trying to figure out why so many people can't seem to tolerate wheat. Well, just reading about how our wheat flour is made has helped me to understand what is going on.
If you look at wheat, the bran is the outside layer and it's full of fiber and minerals. Inside the bran is the endosperm which is mostly starch. In the center is the germ which is the life of the seed. It has hormones, fatty acids, vitamins and other micronutrients in it. When they make wheat flour, they get rid of the bran, they remove the germ and the leftover starchy endosperm (starch) is bleached to make it white. So what is left is nutritionless starch. They then "enrich" the flour by spraying it with synthetic vitamins and minerals. Let's just say that those synthetic vitamins and minerals are not what our bodies need to be healthy. They are cheap, incomplete versions of the real things.

Then we eat this "wheat" and it mixes with water and other liquids. It then turns into a gluey substance (people used to use this kind of mixture as wallpaper paste). Once it gets to our bowel, it coats our intestines and makes it hard for our bowel to function as it should. Hence the myriad of bowel problems people have nowadays (other things affect our bowel too but this is one big cause of problems in our guts).
I'm no longer wondering about the assumed contradiction about wheat. What most of us eat is not wheat!!
When you do a colon cleanse, you get rid of this "wheat" coating in your colon. The author says that about 90% of allergies will clear up with a colon and liver cleanse. The remaining allergies often clear up after adding adrenal support.

I'm convinced that I must cleanse my whole body and many of my health problems will be gone. This will take some time but it will so be worth it! Can't wait to start but first I must read and learn more. I'm only on page 48. :)

More health stuff.
Another thing you need to cleanse from your body is yeast, "candida albicans". Small amounts of it in our body is not a problem but when certain things kill the good bacteria in us, this fungi morphs and can grow out of control and is absolutely horrible for our health. Basically this yeast is trying to decompose you.
Here's a test that can show if you have a problem with candida. First thing in the morning, before you eat or drink anything, take a clear glass of water and spit into the glass. Check it every 15 minutes for an hour. It it remains the same, you probably don't have a problem with candida. If the spit spreads out, develops long tendrils hanging down, sinks to the bottom of the glass, you very likely are infected with oral candida at the least.
Getting rid of candida is not easy and while doing this cleanse you do get some flu like symptoms. Yeast is very resilient and adaptive. You first need to have cleansed your colon and kidneys before you start getting rid of candida (important to do these things in order!). But you can do certain things to avoid the yeast problem from getting worse. You can take probiotics (the good bacteria). You need to avoid eating sugar in any form, carbonated drinks, milk, fruit and fruit juice, grains and flour, corn, potatoes, sweet potatoes and peas. You won't kill the yeast by not eating these things but it'll help not to feed the yeast.

So many health problems are related to candida overgrowth.
If you want to learn more, read the book "Inner Transformations Using Essential Oils" by Dr. LeAnne Deardeuff.
*Of course I'm not a doctor and my advice can't be considered medical advice. I'm just sharing what I'm learning as some of my friends seem to be interested in this topic as well. Before you start using therapeutic essential oils, you need to learn the basics about these oils. They are very powerful and you need to know how to use them properly. I can only recommend Young Living essential oils as they are approved by Health Canada and I trust their purity and therapeutic value.*

Essential oil update. 😊
My chronic tendonitis (hand, wrist, arm) was acting up on Saturday. I could barely even squeeze the toothpaste tube. I first put some PanAway oil blend on it and that always seems to help with achy stuff. Then I read that Copaiba specifically is excellent for tendonitis as it's a very powerful anti-inflammatory. After just two applications, the pain was almost gone but I applied it a third time just to make sure. On Sunday - no more pain and I could use my hand and arm normally. I 💚 my oils. 😊

So as you can see, I've been busy. :)
Love these oils. I highly recommend them.
