[look what I made]
It looks a bit like the Earth from space but of course it's just an Easter egg I made by putting some nail polish in water and dipping an egg in it.

[the good and the bad]
The bad news - we got lots of snow last night. It's been a nightmare of a winter this year. It just keeps going and going and going...
Pity, please.
The good news - it's Easter!
Good news, indeed. The word gospel means "good news". How fitting.
ps. Hiding Easter eggs in grass is for wimps. You gotta build a snowbunny and hide white eggs in the snow.
(Not our snowbunny. As seen while out and about today.)

[gotta love Easter!]
I love Easter!
The message of Easter is so uplifting and full of hope.
We visited the farmer's market on Saturday. Many Ukrainians live here in Canada. Gotta admire Ukrainian Pysanky eggs. So much work goes into making just one egg!
I bought a bunch of pussy willow branches. These are so big and fluffy. I will probably add some feathers to the branches as is the custom in Finland.
Here are some ideas I have collected in my Easter Pinterest file.
I love black and white, as always, but of course these can be made in lovely spring colors as well.
Use a label maker to add text to eggs.
Use a Sharpie pen to draw/write on eggs.
Stamp wooden eggs with alphabet stamps.
Sew an egg garland from textured paper.
These cuties can be purchase at the Spagat Shop at Etsy.
Jelly beans on branches. The idea and instructions are from here.

[free printables - flowers]
Flower Project Life
journaling cards (3” x 4”) and flower note cards. My Easter gift to you. I’m
doing these free printables a bit differently as there are so many photos to
share. If you leave your e-mail address in a comment, I will e-mail the
Microsoft Word document that has 7 variations of the journaling cards, 7 lined
note cards and 7 note cards with no lines. Ready for you to print on card
stock! I will not post your e-mail address comment and you will not receive any
kind of junk e-mail from me. J
For personal use only.
Not for resale.
Happy Easter! J

[summer fun for kids]
Forest fire smoke outside (doesn't go well with my asthma) so this is what we've been doing.

Have your kids heard of Moshi? Japanese cuteness at it's best. Sienna loves her new book and has been drawing her own Moshi.

[easter cake, easter egg lunch + project life pages]
I hope you all had a great Easter.
Check out this Easter cake I made. Carrot cake + cream cheese icing “grass” + laminated bunnies & tulips. Kind of silly but fun at the same time. I don't have patience to make fancy cakes etc so this was right up my ally.
You can find the recipe for the carrot cake here.

Thank you Pinterest for this fun idea: putting lunch in plastic eggs. Of course Sienna had to hunt for the eggs first. J
Just in time for Easter, a bunny came to rest underneath our trampoline again.
Some more Project Life pages I finished. I love it that I can include any size/type of page in the album. I'm not stressing about anything. Horizontal vs. vertical photos, black & white or colorful... All goes! No stress is my motto when it comes to scrapbooking. No pressure for perfection. Do as much or little as you wish. Maybe one day I'll feel like making an actual 12 x 12" page. It all goes in the same album. Love it!
Used some of my journaling cards with this one but I find I mainly just add a few words on the photos themselves. When there's more to write, then I'll use the cards.
I decided to use 8.5 x 11" page protectors for my favorite photos.

I love the idea of an egg hunt lunch. I'm going to do that for Sienna for sure.
