[St. Patrick's Day banner]

We used to host St. Patrick’s Day parties every year but haven’t done that for a while. Even though our home is still not done, we decided it’s time for some Irish fun. Ireland of course is special for us because we met and fell in love there.

I love this shamrock banner I made this morning. Simple is always the best! Shamrocks always remind me of eating wild shamrocks in a forest in (London)derry.

{get ready for green!}

A green set of journaling cards is now available at my Etsy shop. Just on time to celebrate St. Patrick's day.
Don't forget to wear lots of green tomorrow! :)

I really need to take new pictures of these last ones. They turned out terrible. Wrong color etc.

And here's today's free printables:

My version of a quote I saw on Facebook. :)

Happy Friday everyone! :)

{a quick hello}

Mandalas are fun to color. Found the inspiration here.
 I just did a google image search for “mandala coloring page” and then copied the image to Microsoft Word, resized it and printed it out.
You can find all kinds of coloring pages that way.
I found this one ((I was in the mood for doing stripes instead of coloring) when I searched for “flowers coloring page”:

{it's THAT time of the year again}

For supper tonight we will have:

Cajun salmon… orange.
Potatoes… white.
Salad with lettuce, broccoli, cucumber… green.
Dessert: lime jello with whipping cream, green fish candy for decorations… more green.

Some more green stuff found via google image search:

{leprechauns}

Got the idea for this craft here.
Just made our own versions of it.

I’m typing this in bed. I’ve been coughing for about a month now and it has taken a toll on my muscles. This morning I was getting out of bed and pulled my neck and shoulder muscles while turning off the humidifier. A bit later my lower back went out too. I literally can barely move. I bet I’d win the America’s funniest videos contest if someone had been here to videotape me trying to lie down on the bed. J

So don’t forget to be grateful for your muscles today and for the fact that you can move. Things we take for granted.

Who knew that you use so many muscles to cough.

you can make shamrocks with heart rubber stamps.
hey, i've eaten shamrocks in a forest in (london)derry (take your pick)!
you know it - we'll be wearing green today and eating something green as well. maybe mint ice-cream or green jello...
the irish by the way have the best sense of humor. it's all about kissing the blarney stone, so it is.

i will always love ireland, so i will.

{green!}

***
Sienna finished her green picture.

My grandma always had a beautiful, huge Oxalis (shamrock) plant that flowered tons. I've managed to kill one myself. My thumb is not even a bit green. Darn it. I love these shamrock plants. They come with purple leaves too and I've seen yellow and pink flowers too.

Go have some green fun! :D

{some more irish stuff for ya}

An old style Irish cottage.

A storefront in Dublin. Pretty tacky but so so cute at the same time.

This show is hilarious! Irish people have a great sense of humor.

I'm so bummed I didn't see Giant's Causeway even though I lived pretty close to it for awhile.

***
There are amazing cathedrals in Ireland.

***
Even though Ireland is very green and lush, sometimes it can be very gray and dreary too, so the Irish brighten their lives with cheerful doors.
*** ***
The doors often have a metal knocker on them.

Malahide Castle. Not the biggest but very cute.

My camera broke the day I arrived in Ireland so all these pictures were found from the net.
