Jos suomeksi taas vaihteeksi... Mitas on puuhattu... Aamupaivalla kaytiin ajelureissulla ja mentiin eraaseen leikkipuistoon jossa oli Jayn veljen vaimo lapsineen myos ja sen kavereita lapsineen. Ei ennatetty leikkia siella kuin tunnin ja sitten pitikin tuoda Sienna kotiin paiviksille. Voi etta oli kivaa leikkia teeter-totter:ssa Siennan kanssa. Se oli tosi hyva sellainen, siina oli "springs" (jouset?) jotka teki siita tosi hyvan.

Istutettiin auringonkukan siemenia kukkapenkkiin. Sienna pelkaa otokoita tosi paljon. Tanaan opetettiin otokoista sitten vahan muttei se kylla auttanut, luulen. Voi pienta ressua kun niin pelkaa kaikenlaista valilla. Kevat on juuri Siennalle vaikeaa aikaa kun otokat tulee ja yhtakkia on pelottavaa menna ulos. Toivottavasti tottuu taas pian.

Jay sai takapihan aidan rakennettua. Portti vaan puuttuu ja aitalautojen maalaus.

Eilen innostuin tekemaan ekat perhehistoria scrapbook sivut. En tee niista yhta "hienoja" kuin muista. Kunhan on natisti perhehistoria tiedot sitten albumissa. Voisihan niista simppeleistakin sitten ottaa kuvat tanne myohemmin. Ihana oppia esi-isista.

Lauantaina oli tosi lammin paiva: +29C ja juuri sopiva tuuli etta ulkona jaksoi jopa olla. Paasin yksikseni scrapbook liikkeeseen ja olipa kiva ihan rauhassa katsella kaikkea. Kaytiin Ikeassa syomassa ja Sienna leikki siella taas. Nyt ei Ikean lihapullat kylla oikeen maistuneet. Hoh. Puolukkamehua oli kylla kiva juoda. Illalla katsottiin "Hairspray" dvd. Me saatiin se lahjaksi Jayn vanhemmilta kauan aikaa sitten. Me ei tykata musicals mutta tama olikin sitten yllari yllari ihan hauska ja vaikka piti katsoa "vahan vaan" niin se tulikin sitten tollotettya loppuun ja nukkumaan mentiinkin vasta kahden aikoihin sitten. Meita nauratti niin tietyt jutut leffasta. Kuten "you dented my doo". :D

Jattakaapa vierailijat kommentteja tanne. Feedjit nayttaa etta taalla lappaa vakea vaikka kuinka mutta kommenteista ei sita uskoisi. Voi sanoa vaan "hei" jos ei sen kummemmin halua kommentoida. :) Luulen etta jotkut noista kavijoista on vaan sellaisia jotka ovat tehneet google haun ja mun blogi jostain syysta oli sitten hakulistalla. En usko etta kaikki nyt sentaan ihan blogilla asti ovat kayneet. Muille muuten tiedoksi etta ne blogilaskurit toimii juuri tuolla tavalla. Nayttaa etta on alysti kavijoita mutta totuus on etta numerot ei nayta tosi lukijamaaraa. Jos joku siis tekee google haun jollain sanalla ja sinun blogilla on se sana niin siita tulee "kaynti" laskuriin vaikkei se henkilo edes kaynyt sivullasi. Siksi otin oman laskurin pois kun se ei nayta oikeaa numeroa. No, infoa vaan.

For someone who doesn't care for diamonds, I sure like bling bling on my scrapbook layouts. :) I also like the "rain dots" as they're kind of like dew on flowers. And they're circles too - my favorite shape. I looooove circles. :)

My layouts were somewhat limited by my budget. But it's amazing what you can come up with when you use some creativity. It would be awesome though to have tons of supplies available. And a nice big crafts room. I'm not asking for much, am I? :)

Sienna was getting frustrated this morning when she couldn't fit into these old shoes. Then she finally said "I got the heals in". I guess she was pretty content with the result. :)

Ta-daa! My secret project is ready! I did it! When I had started to make my scrapbook layouts I happened to come across this "Scrapbooker of the Year" contest at Creative Keepsakes. I had caught the scrapbooking bug so I thought this was a fun way to motivate me to do many layouts in a short period of time. I did 21 layouts in about a month!! It's a lot when you think I was doing it here and there when I had a moment. You needed 20 originals and the first one I did I had scraplifted the layout. Every time I have tried to accomplish a goal and I have told about it to someone, my interest seems to die off and I don't get it done. So I thought I'd keep this one a secret hoping that it would give me that extra boost to keep going. So that I could surprise everyone. I don't know why but that seems to work for me. It's more fun working on a secret project than working on something "I have to get done because I've told everyone about it". It seems crazy to take part in this contest as I'm so new to scrapbooking. But oh well, I'm known to try all kinds of crazy things on a whim. It doesn't hurt to give things a try, right? What do I have to lose? Not much. And atleast I got all these pages done for Sienna. The thing is, I can't show all the pages as that is part of the contest. 12 of the layouts have to be unpublished ones. I have shown 4 of my layouts so far so I have 4 more to go. :) I'll show you new ones every once in awhile. I kind of want to see what GoodieBox challenges will be and if any of my layouts match the challenge. :)

So there you have it! I'm sure this disappointed you all as I don't have much to show at the moment. But keeping this secret really helped me to get it done. Hope you understand. Now I'm off to mail this. I barely made the deadline. I was hurrying like crazy to get this done.

This is how I'm sending my stuff. Didn't have time to do anything fancier. Inside are a cover letter, contact info, photos of my layouts, an article that needed to be written (that was the pain in the butt one - I don't like writing, never said I'm good at it) and a list of materials used in my layouts.

Hedgehog baby by "ruide" at Flickr. Aah! I love hedgehogs. If you were lucky, you'd see one every once in awhile in Finland. People would put milk outside for them in hopes of getting a glimpse of one. Too cute!

Kiiltokuva - this is what we collected as kids. I don't have a clue what they are called over here. The "old fashioned" (vanhanaikaiset) ones were always more precious even though they were brand new ones that just looked like old ones. :) Glittered ones were hot items too. :) We used to fold a Donald Duck comic in certain way (fold each page in half vertically) and hide one of these under each flap. Then we'd "switch". You'd just pick a page from your friend's folded thingy and that's the one you got. She did the same from your Donald Duck. You just had to hope that you got something good back. :) Those were the days... :) Mitas kiiltokuva/kiiltsikka muistoja teilla muilla on?

Still sick. Yucky throat. I hope I'll have energy to do stuff though. I have a long list of things to do. One of these days I'll get our home spring cleaned and organized... I thought Sienna was better already but last night she had a fever again. Very persistent bug. Seems like the same one we've had in the past. Keeps coming back. Doesn't it know already that it's not welcome?!! :)

Tosi kova tuuli kyllakin (auto jopa tuntui heittelevan vahan ajaessa) joka teki ulkona olon toisaalta siedettavammaksi mutta sitten toisaalta ei jaksanut tuulessakaan olla (hiekkoja ei olla viela taysin siivottu pois joten tuuli levitteli hiekkaa naamaan). Mutta kovin kesainen paiva. Tyypillinen "ei pilvia" Alberta taivas.

In my tiredness yesterday I forgot to mention about American Idol. The only song I really liked was David Cook's first song. Both Davids were great as always and I'm so glad that they are the final two.

This morning when I was changing Sienna's diaper, she said "You're doing great, mommy!". Good to know. :)

Talking about diapers... I have been so lazy about potty training. I really need to start it. Seems like there's never that perfect time to start but if I keep waiting for it Sienna will be in diapers when she starts school.

My throat is so yucky this morning. Tickles, hurts... It always starts like this and then it turns into a terrible cough. No time to rest today though. Sienna gets to bring a stuffed animal to class today and I'm looking forward to playing with a hoolahoop again. :) Then I'm 99% done with my project. Last minute stuff left to do. I even got that pain in the butt thing done. Wow me! :)
