[a cookbook worth purchasing]

One of my goals this year is to learn new, tasty recipes.
I purchased this cookbook as it has many fast and simple every day recipes in it. I thought I’d share one to show an example what you get with the book.

APPLESAUCE BARBECUE CHICKEN

4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
½ tsp pepper
1 TBSP olive oil
2/3 cup (1.5dl) (chunky) applesauce
2/3 cup (1.5dl) spicy barbecue sauce
2 TBSP brown sugar
1 tsp chili powder

1.   Sprinkle chicken with pepper. In a large skillet, brown chicken in olive oil on both sides.
2.   In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; pour over chicken. Cover and cook 7-10 minutes longer, until the chicken is cooked through. Serve with rice.

For barbecue sauce, I used Bull's Eye's Honey Garlic Bonanza sauce.

I haven’t been eating meat for awhile but the rest of the family said this was delicious. So super easy to make!

[143]

These photographs are by a Finnish photographer Mikko Lagerstedt. Please follow the link to his website to see these photos how they should be viewed and to see other ones just as gorgeous as these.

So peaceful!

I’m so in love with the photography by artist Janet Little Jeffers. Anything can be beautiful if you look at it the right way.
I have always, always loved macro photography and find myself wanting to take photos like this too. Hmm, maybe I need to invest in a better camera.

[sometimes you just have to make the flowers yourself]

We got teased a bit. Snow was melting so rapidly, it actually felt like spring was finally here. But I knew not to get too excited. After all, I live in Canada. So with more snow on the ground, I decided to make my own spring flowers.
Enjoy.

ps. I'm itching to see my designs in someone's album. If you have used my cards and happen to have a blog or a Flickr account, please leave me a link so I can see where my "babies" have ended up at. It would make my day. J
