Lately I have totally been into retro stuff. I keep seeing fun retro stuff everywhere and some of it just seems so much fun. Takes you back to your childhood I guess. Retro style modernized. Sounds good. :)

So, American Idol... David Archuleta was the best in my opinion. I always like David Cook but his this week's songs just weren't that great. It really is a lot about song selection. I'm quite sure those two will be the top two. Poor Jason Castro. He sure got rough critique. I know that he's not the best vocally but I often like the mellow songs he picks. Especially this week's Bob Marley's song. Reminded me how much I love Bob Marley's music. Jason would be a fun "beach singer dude" :). I remember in Italy there were always guys singing romantic Italian songs on the beach with their guitars. Jason would do great in that setting. :) I hope he won't give up on singing. He just needs voice lessons and more confidence and I'm sure he'll have a career. Sayesha belongs to Broadway and she'll be great doing musicals. So there. My two cents on that again. :)

If you're wondering why all these old pictures here on the blog lately, well, I have been using them for my scrapbooking project. I'm sure I'll be posting lots more of these "oldies".

Took Sienna to see Doctor So today. He is a chinese chiropractor who I used to work for. He does energy work (I can't remember for the life of me how to spell the name of it) and can tell people's allergies without having to poke with needles. Sienna kept getting more allergy symtomps even though we haven't given her any wheat. Turns out she is also allergic to corn and brewer's yeast. Doctor So advised me to give lots of these vegetables to Sienna: cabbage, bok choy, cauliflower, broccoli, turnip, brussels sprout and kale. I guess they have indole-3 carbinol which cleans the liver and helps food allergies in other ways too. He also said to give her lots of potatoes, pineapple & papaya as well. Pineapple and papaya have enzymes that help break food. I guess when you have food allergies your body doesn't break the foods very well. Now I also remember how I can test any suspected foods myself. It's so easy. Anyone can do it. And it really works!!!!! I know because when I strated working for Doctor So I had just had regular allergy tests done and then he tested me (I didn't tell him I knew what my allergies were) and listed all the same allergies they had told me previously. If you are testing a child, you just hold your hand somewhere on the child (I had my hand on Sienna's shoulder), then you keep your arm straight and someone else puts the suspected food (or other allergy item) on the child (Doctor So put it on Sienna's other shoulder) and at the same time tries to lower your arm with the other hand. If the child is not allergic to that food, you will be able to resist the pushing down on your arm. If the child is allergic, then your arm will involuntarily drop down. The more it drops down, the more severe the allergy. This way you can test if any substance you use is bad for you. Try it with white sugar. Without exception, everyone shows a bad reaction to sugar. It's just not healthy for us. If you test an adult you just place the food on that person (near heart) and test their arm. I know this sounds "coocoo" but it really works. I really believe in this energy stuff because I have seen it work so well. Doctor So is highly trained in this and can tell other problems in your body by testing you in various ways. I even took a one day course with him while I worked with him and it was soooooo interesting to see all the things you can do with this energy stuff. Anyways, I think I mentioned all this before but I just wanted to again in case someone reads this who might be interested in it. (Suomeksi tata energia juttua lausutaan "zii-koon".)

Kunhan scrapbooking kiireet hellittavat niin sitten on taas enemman aikaa ja karsivallisyytta. Pitaa jotenkin pitaa tata mun suomenkielta ylla edes. Josta tuli mieleen... Oonpa onskuna silla mun vanhempi sisko tulee meille kesalla tyttonsa ja miehensa kanssa. Ihana etta edes joku minunkin perheesta vihdoinkin nakee Siennan ja Sienna nakee heidat. Odotan kovin innolla!

We went to see Iron Man movie this afternoon. I enjoyed it even though it was a guy flick. Afterwards did some quick clothing shopping. I actually found something this time. I always have a hard time finding clothes. Who knows a good personal shopper who'd like to work for free? :) It was good to get out. I sure like afternoon movies as the theatre is always 90% empty.

It was +18C today. Maybe spring is finally here.

Got my printer working again so now I can print out all the pictures for my scrapbooking. The problem was cheap ink, I guess. I asked Jay to get real Epson ink and now the printer is fine. Figures. I can't even imagine scrapbooking without being able to print the pictures. I wouldn't have the patience to get them developed. This way I can size them myself and they'll be perfect.

Voi etta Sienna oli niin pikkunen. Tuo oli kylla uskomaton paiva. Muistan miten outoa oli lahtea sairaalasta ja tuoda Sienna meidan mukana. Oli sellainen olo etta oltiin kayty pohlimassa jonkun vauva. "Saadaanko me tosiaankin pitaa tama vauva nyt". Lentoreissu meni hyvin. Kaikki ihastelivat Siennaa. Kotona Jayn veli perheineen oli odottamassa meita. Kaikki olivat niin onnellisia meidan puolesta etta VIHDOINKIN meille tuli vauva. Jayn vanhemmat oli USA:ssa ja missasivat Siennan kotiin tulon muutamalla paivalla. Niin hyvin Sienna nukkui pari ekaa viikkoa. Veti meita hoplasta. :D Sitten alkoikin monet, monet vahauniset yot. Unta tai ei, onskuja oltiin. Ja ollaan edelleen. Osataan niin arvostaa tata uskomatonta lahjaa vuosikausien odotuksen jalkeen.

Ihanuus tuli postista eilen. Suklaat on syoty. Tanaan vuorossa aakkoset. Kiitokset Marille Poriin!! Kuka sanoi ettei tama bloggailu olisi tuottoisa juttu. ;) Me tehtiin vaihdos siis. Mina lahetin kivanvarisia sulkia Marille ja itse sain herkkuja.
Got some Finnish goodies in the mail yesterday. Chocolate is gone already and the candy will be shortlytoo, I'm sure. Oh to have a Finnish grocery store here. *sigh* :) On the other hand, maybe it's good there isn't one. Too many tempting candies and chocolates.

Jay was in the news last night and again this morning. He'll be very busy today with the "free comic book day". Feels like he's worked non stop for weeks now. I look forward to a little break on Monday. Maybe we'll even get to go to a movie or something. They do play movies at theatres still, don't they... (ok, it hasn't been that long but... :D)

I'm in charge of sharing time every Sunday again this month and because of scrapbooking I've left preparing to the last minute this time. So that's what I'll be doing today. Hopefully I'll find some time to clean the house a bit. Our home has definately been neglected lately. Well, I'm almost done with the scrapbooking project and things will slow down for me again after that. Hopefully I'll get it finished this week. It's been fun but it has taken most of my free time.

The other day Sienna and I were driving home and I was waiting to turn to a busy road. Sienna piped out from the back: "Go away people. This is our road. Go people go!". :-D
I honestly don't know where she got that from. I've never said such a thing, I'm sure. :)
