[116]

Trampoline bridge in Paris.

Is this for real?
The coolest thing ever!
I could use some of this today.

[free printable]

Life gets so busy at times. Not much time for blogging.

But here's another free Project Life journaling tag printable.

Hope you all had a f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c Monday!

[halloween decoration]

Found the idea for this Halloween decoration here.
Made with paper. I had to simplify the idea a bit because I taught some young girls how to make it.
Happy Wednesday everyone!

[silver pumpkin]

Bought a craft pumpkin from Michaels, painted it silver, and glued silver micro beads on it.
Shiny. Cute.
Silver has always been my color and always will be.

[tonttuillaan!]

Have you heard of the Elf on the Shelf? Every morning in December kids wake up and see what the elf did that night.
You can order yours from Amazon. I found ours at a local bookstore.

There are ton of ideas online what to do with your elf and I've started collecting them here.
I'm looking forward to all the fun things our elf will do in December. J

[nakkikoira siellä, nakkikoira täällä...]

This cuts a hot-dog into bite size pieces. Add ketchup in the dog food dish and voila! Fun snack for the little ones. J
Found it for only $5 at Walmart.

Saw this cute Daschund puppy picture and I had to do something with it. Made it even longer! J

Did a quick sketch last night after browsing the art book.

Time to paint some punkins!
(That's how Sienna used to say pumpkin. ♥ )

I’m a sucker for art books. If I see a good one, I have to have it. This one caught my eye. Cute book!
I still dream about my own art studio. Lots of natural light, lots of table space, shelves to fill with supplies and art books…
A girl can dream, right?

Isn't it funny how parents sometimes wish their kids would do what they weren't able to do? Hence the art books I purchase for Sienna as well. J
I keep wishing she'll have some kind of artistic career. An artist, illustrate kids’ books, photographer…
But so far her choices have been either a paleontologist or a vet. J
You gotta let them do what their heart tells them to do. But until she actually makes that choice, I'll keep buying these books. And if it doesn't lead into an artistic career - so be it. At least we had ton of fun creating together.

[so thankful]

Some things I've been thankful for lately.

↓ Gorgeous moon the other night! It was huge!

Happy Monday everyone!

[winter garland]

I was asked by my church’s women’s organization to come up with a winter garland for the women to make. This is the result.
I don’t know if they’ll like it but I do. J
It was cloudy today so I couldn't get good pictures of it. Looks better in real life. J

I saw this picture in a magazine and added the text in honor of our 21st wedding anniversary. I can’t believe we've been married for so long. Well, actually I can. J We've done so much in those 21 years.
I love being married! People say so many negative things about marriage but I think it’s the best thing in the world!

I got 21 roses (red + orange) plus Gerber daisies. I had to put them in two vases as they wouldn't fit in one. I guess I need to buy a bigger vase. J

Now we’re off to a movie and a dinner out.

Happy Weekend everyone! J

[My name is Alex. I am a wild man.]

I love checking out kids’ art work in the hallway when I pick up Sienna from school. Here the kids had to do a self portrait and then write about their features. They had obviously talked about descriptive language. J

↑ This guy wrote this. ↓
"My name is Axel. I am a wild man."
Indeed. J

Another fun art idea for kids: trace hands and feet, add the body and make a self portrait.
Kids' art is the best!
