{michelle rago}

I was just browsing Michelle Rago's blog and wondered if I've ever blogged about her. She's a wedding/event planner from New York (see my web site list for a link). What a fun job she has (but I'm sure very stressful too). Check out these two links and you will want to start coming up with a monogram for yourself or for you and your husband.

{tired but happy}
You gotta stretch a little while you're watching tv.
***

***"Mommy, take some pictures of us."
It does happen every once in awhile. Happy mommy when it does.
***
***And even happier mommy when Sienna is in a drawing mood. She got her cousin's old art set and was excited to draw with her new markers. Happy me.
This one is the sun and Sienna swimming in the water. She added a hat with roses on her head later. :)
I guess I should mention that first the blue stuff was grass, then water. And first it was a fish swimming in there but it magically turned into Sienna. Gotta love kids! :)
***
***Is this cute or what?
And a bonus:
mommy: "Is this someone?"
Sienna: "It's you!"
And just like that a nobody turned into mommy. Y
***
***All of a sudden she can draw a flower. I remember how last time she was so frustrated when she didn't know how to draw one. What happened? It's as if someone turned the "now you can draw a flower" switch from off to on in her brain. Cool.
***
***A bee. That dark spot at the bottom is the stinger. She says antennas "tennis". :)
***
***A cat.
***
What an awesome morning! Happy mommy. I guess this was her way of cheering me up after keeping us up half the night. :)
***
"And so the lion fell in love with the lamb…"
"What a stupid lamb."
"What a sick, masochistic lion."
*sigh*
How long do you have to wait to read them the third time?
*rolling eyes*

{our funny bunny}
Some funny things from the mouth of our funny bunny...
***
August 5, 2008
Sienna was playing with her small stuffed animals.
"This zebra's called Mary."
(short pause)
"And this owl is called Jesus."
***
September 2, 2008
Sienna looked at her arm hair and said:
"I have fur."
***
October 4, 2008
Sienna saw daddy's mole on his back.
"You have chocolate on your back."
***
Sienna used to say the word "warm" - "worm". As in, "I want to take a worm bath."
Today we were talking about worms.
mommy: "I used to dig for worms at the summer cottage when I was a child."
Sienna: "Me too."
mommy: "You did?"
Sienna: "Yes, when I was a baby I used to dig for worms."
(Hmm, I must have forgotten that little detail about our little baby daughter... :D)
***
I just gave Sienna her vitamin gummy bear.
Sienna: "It's good to have pills. Pills are yummy for your tummy."

{powdered sugar}

Cute, cute, cute!
scrap*chick/two peas in a bucket

Someone sprinkled some powdered sugar everywhere outside. At least that's what it looks like. The tiniest sprinkling of snow on the ground.
Started putting up the Christmas tree up yesterday and realized that I haven't made new ornaments as I had planned. Figures.
I'm dreaming of a new tree. Cream/the lightest beige (straw) colored one with white lights already attached in the tree (no strings). But I'm not willing to spend tons of money on a new tree and I don't know if I'd even find the kind of tree I'm dreaming about. But a girl can dream, right? By the way, I would have a real tree but I'm allergic to the snow mold in them. Hence the fake tree is okay attitude. And might as well go out of your way to have a totally fake looking tree as no one is fooled by the green color anyways. :) Logic by s a n s k u :). :)
I love it how in Finland people still often use real candles on their tree. If you keep your tree well watered, it is okay. Us kids never went near the tree but of course you'd never leave the tree & the kids unsupervised. I loved the real candles and then the added sparkle sticks. The tree always looked magical when they were all lit up. No such magic in our house due to allergies. Rats. :)

ps. In case you weren't following my blog last year - I blogged about all kinds of Christmas stuff. Tons of ideas under the Christmas label on the right.
