[art ideas for kids]

Yeah, I’m the crazy woman in Sienna’s school who goes around and takes pictures of all the art kids have made.
I can’t help it. Cuteness!

These first ones were made by the kindergartners. They must have talked about emotions and the teacher took pictures of the kids looking sad, happy, angry, etc.
Then they drew themselves as animals.

These were made by kindergartners as well. So simple. So cute.

These last three are done by older kids.

Happy Monday everyone!

[aivan ihana! :)]

Löysin tämän täältä. Kiitos Clarissa! Just what I needed. J

[miniature garland]

New in my Etsy shop: miniature garland printable.

I kept mine simple but the garland can be embellished in your own style. Can also be printed on colored card stock, instead on white, to change the look.

This is the "cute project" I've been working on.

Much more to come...

Seeing pictures like this makes me want to pick up a crochet hook and start crocheting.
Crocheting is easy to learn and there are so many cute patterns out there.
I don’t know the source for this picture. I wish I did because I’d love to make one of these.

I absolutely love these crocheted rocks.

So romantic!
I think I could handle a vacation to Maldives. J

[project life page + free journaling cards]

Got my hair done + worked on Project Life = J day.

I don’t know what happened with the black bird journaling card & the top left photo on this picture. They look fine in the album. Must be the lighting.

[totuus tulee lasten suusta]

Here’s a fun idea I found on Pinterest. I don’t know who made this list because the source wasn’t mentioned.

This would make a great Mother’s (or Father’s Day) gift. Even better if it’s done on video. Little ones' answers probably end up being quite hilarious.

Once a year tradition, perhaps?

[little something something]

So many ideas, so little time!

On a sad note – no one left a comment to win the giveaway.

But I just keep on going. Even if it’s just me here. And even if I'm the only one who likes my little creations. J

This picture takes me back to my childhood in Finland. Summers spent at grandma's summer cottage. Swimming in a lake for hours on end, picking wild flowers and berries, sauna, etc.

I love this idea of an old boat loaded with flowers, floating on the lake.

[35 - PRECIOUS LITTLE BABY BOUTIQUE]

I’m happy to introduce Nataliya and her Etsy shop Precious Little Baby Boutique. Nataliya sells adorable handmade items for babies. I have included in this post just a sampling of the beautiful items she sells.

Let's get to know Nataliya:

Q: Tell us a bit about yourself.

A: I am a stay-at-home-mom who home-schools her children. I’m happy to be earning some income so that I can take my kids to museums and take them out for ice-cream. A part of the money goes to sending packages to missionaries in Russia, who work with prisoners to help them have hope. Our family admires what the missionaries do and we love to help. We ship necessities to a family with seven children.

Q: What made you decide to open up an Etsy shop? How long have you had it?

A: I have been knitting and making things since I was 5. I always gave everything to friends and relatives. One day my sister opened an Etsy shop for me and told me that now the whole world can see the beautiful items I make. At first I was sceptical, but when the first photographer contacted me, I was in heaven. Her name is Patricia Anderson and she inspired me to make baby items. I have a whole notebook full of ideas now. 24 hours per day just isn't enough time to make them all. J

My shop has been open for nine months.

Q: What is your favorite item in your shop? Why?

My favorite item in the shop is the hungry caterpillar, because it’s the softest, fuzziest thing ever. Perfect for precious babies’ skin.

Q: Which item is the best seller?

A: Items for twins are popular as well as headbands during spring and summer. In the fall and winter, I sell many hats and blankets.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do when you have free time?

A: I don’t have much free time but when I do, I love to play with my 3-year-old.

Q: Do you like to read? Any books you would like to recommend?

A: I love reading but barely ever have time for it. Every once in awhile, a bubble bath with a good book, is a must.

[feelin' blue]

For many years, I’ve had this idea of a little gift shop called Feelin’ Blue. It would be a place where women could come and enjoy beautiful things to cheer them up. I would sell all sorts of gift items, décor, gourmet chocolate J, thoughts and poems framed in beautiful frames. Etc.

The colors of the little shop would be: blue (of course), black, white, gray, light wood color. The items I would sell would mainly be those colors as well.
There would be twinkly lights on the ceiling, beautiful mirrors, flowers…

Well, I know for sure that I don’t want to own a retail store. Crazy working hours, hard to go on holidays, hard to find reliable people to hire… I would only do such a shop if I was a millionaire and wouldn’t have to worry about the money part at all. Then I could hire people to work there and I would only buy the items to sell and be the person to decorate the shop.

Since I’m not a millionaire, I thought I’d create something similar in a much smaller scale. So…

It’s my pleasure to introduce my new blog baby -

Right now there are only beautiful pictures to look at but who knows what I might add in there in the future.

Happy Friday everyone!

ps. Come visit me here too. I'm liking it more than Pinterest J
