Ok, I have had a guilty conscience since yesterday's blog entry. I really think the Survivor thing is very funny and I did mention that I think men work hard too. I just want to totally clarify something so that no one misunderstands me. I have never liked "menbashing". Lot of women seem to do it nowadays. They complain how men don't do this, or men don't understand that, or men don't... You get the picture. When I posted that funny thing yesterday I didn't do it to say that men couldn't handle being women. Simply it was just funny if you don't take it seriously. Men and women are different of course but I think that is so needed to keep a balance in the world. Some things women seem to do better and some things men do better. Big deal. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. It doesn't mean that someone is better than someone else. I really believe that God for example values men and women TOTALLY EQUALLY. We have different roles in life and that's ok. We don't need to be the same to be equal. I think that's a point feminists have sadly missed. We should respect everyone's role in this world and not put anyone down because they are different from us. I think men are great. They are straight forward, can keep a cool head and not freak out emotionally when women tend to, etc. Not to say that some women don't have these qualities. You all know I'm not speaking in generalities here, I hope. All I'm trying to say that I think men are great and I don't want to ever come across as saying they are less than women somehow. When it comes to our family, Jay is the one who pays the bills, does taxes and does many of the mundane tasks that I should be helping with but can't get myself to do it. He's an awesome father and does a lot for our family. I totally get inspired by him when I notice how genuinely he is working towards making Sienna and me happy. So without going on and on about this... Just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that I don't condone menbashing in any way. It's a terrible thing that many women seem to do nowadays. What good will it ever accomplish? Would women like to be talked about like that? Let's treat each other with respect and let's keep our influence positive and not negative. There, I got it off my chest now. :) And that being said, wasn't the Survivor thingy I posted yesterday really funny? :)
