day 15:time to end our road trip. just one more stop before heading "home". we went to see the turku castle, the largest surviving medieval castle in finland.
the castle's construction started in 1280 (i'm sure it took a long time to build it) and considerable extensions were done during the 16th century.
once again it was great to be a tourist in my native country. we spent hours touring the castle and i think we all enjoyed the visit tremendously.
the trees on the lot were huge!
