This is what I've been up to - Stephenie Meyer's Eclipse book, the third one in the Twilight series (soon to be a major motion picture, can't wait!!!!). It's official - these books are now my favorite books. I'm totally and compeletely hooked. I love the characters. I could just read, read, read non stop. Hard to get anything else done. These books will be read over and over again, I'm sure.

Other than that, we've been just trying to survive the heat wave. It's been +34C and today especially has been unbearably hot. I wanted to take Sienna to a wade pool but both of our stomachs are a bit upset with a mild stomach bug so we stayed home. She had the longest bath ever though. Enjoyed playing in the cool water so that was pretty much our entertainment today. Oh, uncle Roni taught her how to play computer games and now she wants to play all the time. So I already need to try to limit her time on the computer. It's not good to play for too long. But she is so darn cute when she's clicking the mouse too. :)

Who else is excited about the Olympics in Beijing? I sure am. I haven't seen the opening ceremony yet (it's my favorite part of the Olympics, I get all emotional and all). I forgot to record it this morning so I'm recording it for tomorrow. I'm so happy for China, that they got to host the Olympics. Those worried about China's human rights policies - this is the best thing that could happen to that country. There is no way the police will be able to stop all conversations that will happen between outsiders and the Chinese people. This will have a huge effect on the country - for good. I look forward to seeing the miracle that will happen there. It'll be like the Berlin wall coming down. I just know it.
I'm so glad there's lots of programs about China on tv right now. I have been fascinated about China for awhile now and I get to see more of the amazing country.

Then... Guess who doesn't even know who won So You Think You Can Dance?!!!!! Jay was working late yesterday and we were too tired to watch it last night (plus I was hooked on Eclipse anyways) so we just recorded it. In a few moments, I get to start watching it. Yey!! It'll be hard not to read Eclipse but somehow I'll manage. :D
I think Joshua won but somehow I've been rooting for Twitch. But I'll be happy with either Twitch, Joshua or Kaitee winning. They're all good. Twitch is just so goofy and I like goofy.

Meidan B:kin tykkas kauheasti tuosta Eclipse kirjasta, samoin kun tuon kirjailijan muustakin tuotannosta.
ReplyDeleteMun suosikkini So You Think You Can Dance-sarjasta oli nakojaan sama kuin sun.
Todella upea show ja aivan jarjettoman upea ilotulitus!
Laitoin tuohon edelliseenkin postaukseen viela vastauksen, vaikka tiedan hyvin etta haluat ne uusimpaan, sorry.
Arvasin etta Joshuahan sen voittaa. Kiva siina mielessa miten koyhasta lapsuudesta tulee jne.
ReplyDeleteMina usein katson Olympialaisista vaan ne avajaisseremoniat. Multa meni vuosia sitten maku urheiluun doping juttujen takia. Sitten tuntuu etta on se tavallaan ajan hukkaa myoskin. Vahan tsekkailen jotain aina vaan.
Paljon romantiikkaa, hauskoja vuorosanoja, actionia... Ei vaan sellaista maiseman kuvausta. :) Lempparit niista todellakin on tulleet.
Me kaytiin viime lauantaina hakemassa kirjakaupasta samana paivana ilmestynyt Stephanie Meyerin kirja Breaking Dawn.
Jaakiekkoa, futiksen MM-kisoja, F1-ajoja, makihyppya ym. katson kylla oikein sujuvasti :).
Mina aion olla Twilight leffan ensi iltana jonossa odottamassa. Tuskin jaksan odottaa!!! :) Olo on kuin teinarilla. Ihana olla tosi passionate jostain. Haaveilen vampyyri ja warewolf poikaystavista. :D
ReplyDeleteso glad you got the twilight books! i can't wait to read the new one!
ReplyDeleteSYTYCD was awesome...i'm so sad that this season is over already. it went by too quickly this year!
see you soon!
T:)
talia: I started the last book already. If I thought I was sad when SYTYCD was over - I'll be 100 times more sad when I'm done with this last book. Thank goodness there's the movie to look forward to. :) I guess it's kind of good there are no more than four books though - life goes on stand still when I read. All I can do is to read, read, read. :)
