{yummy-o crepes}

Sidewalk chalk fun & ride for teddy first thing in the morning (hair isn't even done yet).

Sienna has little lambs, little lambs, little lambs...

Sienna usually never wears a hat (except her sunhat which is a must in the summer heat). She saw a picture of her cousin Nida with a hat on and decided she can wear one too now. Thanks Suvi. :)
The arms - she was showing me how to be reverent. :)

And you gotta have one of these to fry them on. Well, you don't have to (normal frying pan works too for bigger crapes) but they taste better this way.
***
FINNISH "LETTU" (CREPES)
2 eggs
2 cups (5 dl) milk
1 cup (2.5 dl) flour
1/2 tsp salt
2-3 TBSP sugar
few drops of vanilla
Mix the eggs in a bowl just enough to break them. Add the rest of the ingredients (the flour through a sieve) and mix well. Let the batter sit at least an hour. Heat the pan and then use medium heat to fry the crepes. Put tiny bit of butter/margarine on the pan for each crepe, let it melt, pour in a bit of the batter. Flip the crepe when the underside is brown, let the other side brown too. Repeat. I always sprinkle a bit of sugar on each crepe once it's done. I love, love, love mine with mashed bananas and freshly whipped cream. Finnish people like to use cloudberry jam on these too (Ikea sells it). Jay likes his with sliced strawberries (add a bit of sugar) and whipped cream.
I hope this makes sense. I don't have a clue how to write a recipe.

  1. Meillä oli aina isä, joka paistoi letut. Ja nykyisin oma mies toimii lettumestarina! :)

    Kiva kuva tuo alimmainen, pyöreä pannu, pyöreillä koloilla ja pyöreitä unikkoja alla... :)
