{eurovision song competition}
Every year Europe holds Eurovision song competition. Each European country sends in their choice of song and each country has one vote to vote for their favorite. Finland won two years ago for the first time (we usually suck :)). This is how Sweden's ABBA became popular. Norway won this year. The competition has changed quite a bit lately as now there are more eastern block countries. It used to be that western countries won all the time. Now the eastern ones have the power in votes. I can't believe how Russian this winning song is even though it's from Norway. If you'd like to see the performances of each country, go to www.eurovision.tv.
